What is TMA PKR Academy?
Our PKR academy is a fun and challenging kids movement program, suitable kids aged 5 to 16 years. Students develop strength, power, endurance, balance and focus, whilst learning how to safely and confidently perform cool movements.
PKR Academy is a great way for kids to have fun and keep fit. It's suitable for students of all levels, from beginners to experienced athletes.
PKR Academy students also have the opportunity to partake in our certification program. Here, they work through certificates to achieve new grades and progress to advanced techniques.
*10 Week Term - 1 visit per week
How long are the classes?
Academy Sessions run for 55 minutes.
How many kids per class?
To maintain a safe environment, we separate each class into groups and strictly limit our student to coach ratio to no more than 10:1.
Please be cautious of other facilities that are operating with up to 15+ students per coach. This is not safe practice.
Will my kids be grouped with their friends / siblings?
We split each class into groups based on age, height and graded levels. If you child attends with friends or family that they would like to be grouped with, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Do you have multiple locations?
Yes, we have two facilities, one facility located in Balcatta and another in Bassendean.
Please be aware of imitations of our academy, we are not associated with, or affiliated with any other gym or program.
Who are the coaches?
The Motion Academy is the only facility in Australia that has a coaching team that is comprised entirely of ADAPT certified coaches! All our coaches hold current Working With Children Checks.
Is it Safe?
Yes! Our kids PKR program is designed to teach kids how to navigate real world obstacles in a safe and monitored environment. Under total supervision, we help prepare kids for the environment they will be playing in.
We take particular care to educate children on how to take safe, calculated and responsible parkour risks. Our highly skilled coaching team teach students the safest methods and techniques of tackling obstacles to minimise risk without minimising the fun.
We also utilise mats, soft blocks and foam pits when we are working above certain heights and for unfamiliar movements, especially for the younger kids.
